The Vineyards

Woodlands Ridge Vineyard is located approximately 35 kilometres North East of Adelaide and 4 kilometres South East of Gumeracha, with elevations between 430 and 485 metres. The vineyard has a North West and North East aspect, which is important as north facing vineyards in the Adelaide Hills are generally capable of producing premium quality winegrapes. The soils on the vineyard have varying fertility, ranging from poor to moderate making management challenging but rewarding. Rainfall on the vineyard averages around 930 millimetres, with growing season rainfall around 250 millimetres. The growing season starts in spring and is generally wet and cool with moderate to warm summers.

Tunnel Hill Vineyard is located approximatley 6 kilometres north of the Woodlands Ridge Vineyard, with elevations between 400 and 450 metres. The vineyard was established on steep rocky slopes but importantly it has moderately fertile soils. As the site is a little further North the days tend to be warmer but the nights remain cool because of the vineyard's elevation. This provides the perfect mix for the production of premium quality cool climate grape varieties.
